Uncertain Transitions
Where you’ve been & where you’re going
Shooting empty, abandoned or fleeting spaces is a unique experience. Somewhere between unease, longing & nostalgia are ways to describe these places and settings. It’s like there exists in another dimension you can come and go out of at anytime.
With these types of photographs, it’s all about capturing the mood. The fun is in how to portray these settings. One inch to the opposite side can totally change the feel. I always aim to evoke some sort of emotion with these types of photographs. Whether it be a memory or a longing for something else - we can all relate to these places emotionally and physically.
